Спасибо Геро, Херк всегда неровно дышал к обоим шоу...
Немного новостей за последние дни.
WtP написал довольно забавный пост, и поскольку спойлеров все равно нет, утешимся хотя бы тем, что есть
Happy holidays, everyone. I've scanned through the massive number of
posts at the StakeHouse (
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/the_stakehouse )
once more and found many of the ideas posted there interesting and
creative. I was especially struck by the amusing and creative "script
segment" penned by Linda Barlow that gave a look ahead to how this
season will end . . .
. . . quite amusing, Linda. 'Nuff said.
It amused me so much, in fact, that I tapped into mystical sources and
called upon demonic intercessors in order to see if I could gather any
further information about what would be happening this year in future
episodes. Unfortunately, I must report dismal failure.
. . . probably that aversion I have to spoilers kicking in.
. . . especially since what I *did* come up with were some deleted
scenes that you're not likely to ever see aired on Angel.
. . . truth to tell, though, they were mildly amusing, so I decided
some of you may be interested in being amused yourselves.
Just remember -- and this is your official warning -- the scenes
contained in this post are for amusement value only and do not purport
to be actual scenes from upcoming episodes of the show. Any
resemblance between these scenes and any actual scenes on Angel: The
Series is purely coincidental.
(Oh, and my second standard disclaimer applies as well. Any reposting
of this material anywhere else should please include the link to Kat's
StakeHouse board as a courtesy since she affords me a place to post
without fear of imitation.)
And now . . . things you are *not* likely to see in the coming weeks.

ACT II
21 INT. ANGEL'S OFFICE - DAY
Resume. ANGEL, WESLEY, GUNN, FRED, LORNE and HARMONY are watching the
newscast on the HD TELEVISION.
HARMONY
They've got two S.W.A.T. teams
called in already and I think I
heard them say they're calling
out the National Guard. I thought
you'd want to know about it.
WESLEY
What is it?
Terrorists?
HARMONY
No, that's the weird part.
(Off their looks)
The reporter said that it
was just one kid.
GUNN
One kid did all that damage?
(beat)
Some kid.
FRED
Turn up the sound.
LORNE looks at ANGEL and notices that he's still in shock. He starts
to ask what's wrong, then thinks better of it and reaches for the
TELEVISION REMOTE and turns up the sound as we move CLOSE IN on the
REPORTER.
REPORTER
. . . evacuated and the Mayor's office has announced that they have
requested help from the National Guard. The suspect has been
identified as Steven Rogers, a freshman college student at U.C.L.A.
who was being questioned in the death of his girlfriend, Ms. Tracy
Glass. According to reports, Rogers broke free in some way from a
holding cell in police headquarters and fled to the mall where he is
holding over a dozen shoppers hostage. No official statement has been
released by the police, but reliable sources indicate that nine
officers died during the escape and several others were seriously
injured.
Pull back to reveal the reporter at the mall scene, then STEADICAM to
simulate a shaky handheld newscam shot that pans the fleeing crowd
until it reveals CONNOR peeking out from a store holding a SHOTGUN.
GUNN (V.O.)
Is this really a problem for us?
Looks like the police have it in hand.
WESLEY (V.O.)
Yes, I agree.
(beat)
I wouldn't be surprised if he's in some
sniper's scope even as we speak. It should
all be over in another minute or two.
REVERSE on ANGEL watching the scene on the HDTV then slowly CLOSE IN
on his face.
ANGEL
(Horrified, to himself)
No.
GUNN
(Off Angel's look)
What's up, boss?
You know something we don't know?
And at that moment, as if on cue (which it is), we hear a GUNSHOT and
all heads turn to look at the HDTV and off that,
ANGEL
(shocked and scared)
Connor . . .
FRED
(Looking at Angel)
Huh?
(then to the gang)
Who's Connor?
SMASH CUT TO:
(I wish I could continue, but things become a bit blurry at this
point. *gr*)
2. ----------------
PUSH IN on the bed to show the sheets twisting as someone writhes
under them. Its that dream again, we realize as we FADE SLOWLY TO
WHITE and DISSOLVE into the dream sequence.
SPIKE
Come on, hero. Tell me more.
(punches Angel)
Teach me what it means.
(punches Angel)
And I'll tell you why you can't stand the bloody sight of me.
(punches Angel)
Angel staggers back into a STACK OF BARRELS, which break open
showering him with OIL (Salad, not Automotive.) More oil cascades
across the floor. Angel lunges forward and tackles Spike, pulling him
down to the floor.
ANGEL
(punches Spike)
Tell it to your therapist.
(punches Spike)
Spike struggles to get free and pulls away. Angel grabs his shirt and
pulls, ripping it off him. Spike falls to the floor and rolls away,
then rises to his feet with oil glistening on his bare chest. He
dives at Angel and knocks him to the ground, then bashes Angel's head
against the ground.
SPIKE
(punches Angel)
'Cause every time you look at me...
(punches Angel)
you see all the dirty little things I've done,
(punches Angel)
all the lives I've taken...
(punches Angel)
because of you! Drusilla sired me...
(punches Angel)
but you... you made me a monster.
(punches Angel)
Angel rolls free, leaving Spike holding only the shreds of Angel's
shirt. Spike jumps after him, but slips in the oil and skids across
the floor on his stomach. Angel staggers to his feet and carefully
walks to where Spike is laying, then kicks him hard in the ribs. Spike
groans, but Angel looses his footing and falls on his back. Spike and
Angel carefully rise, facing each other, glistening oil dripping from
their manly torsos.
SPIKE
(overwhelmed)
Damn you . . .
And then Angel rushes forward and PUSHES him hard, knocking Spike to
the ground. Angel straddles him, GRINDING against him. He supports
himself on his arms, bringing his face down close to Spike's.
Spike pulls Angel's arms out from under him, so that he falls on his
chest. He rolls him over, so that now he's on top of Angel.
SPIKE
Oh Angel. Angel I lo . . .
SMASH CUT TO:
INT. SPIKE'S APARTMENT - EARLY MORNING
Spike BOLTS up in bed.
Next to him lies a sleeping Harmony. Spike's eyes are wide with terror
as he realizes what his dream means. He stares ahead, sick with the
knowledge. He moans in utter torment:
SPIKE
God, no.
PUSH IN on Spike's face.
SPIKE
Please, no.
BLACK OUT.
END OF SHOW
3. ----------------
13 INT. SPIKE'S APARTMENT - NIGHT
Furniture has been overturned and the place basically upended. Bits of
broken glass or pottery and a broken prop or two are visible on the
floor. Pan over the destruction to reveal SPIKE on his knees on the
floor.
SPIKE
Everything that's happened . . .
(beat)
Everything . . .
EVE
Darn Skippy.
You really think they'd
leave something as big
as this to chance?
SPIKE
(Smashing both hands against the floor)
NO!
(beat)
It was MY decision.
I'm nobody's puppet!
EVE
Think again, Pinocchio.
Free will is for the little decisions
like what to have for lunch.
(beat)
What's at stake here, pardon the choice of words,
is just too important to certain interested parties
for them not to have taken a hand.
(flash to SPIKE's outstretched arms from EVE's POV)
Or two.
SPIKE sinks down on the floor as EVE walks closer to him.
EVE
All part of the plan, Stan.
You were needed to push Angel over the edge
and make that dark soul prophecy come true.
(beat)
You could say that the chips were stacked
against you from the start.
On SPIKE from EVEs POV. SPIKE remains silent and we are led by
STEADICAM as EVE slowly walks in a circle around him. PUSH IN on
SPIKE's face to show his absolute despair as everything she has told
him sinks in and he realizes that it is all true.
EVE (V.O.)
Of course, who knew that it'd work so well.
And the soul . . . well, that was just icing
on the cake, wasn't it?
Reverse on EVE as SPIKE looks up at her
EVE
But don't kid yourself, champ.
You've had strings on you just like
all the others. They've got you right
where they want you. Right where you
believe you belong.
SPIKE
Why are you telling me all this?
More torture?
EVE
Guess again, blue eyes.
Know how there are two sides to every story?
SPIKE
(puzzled)
What do you . . .
EVE
I work for the third side.
FADE TO BLACK
4. ----------------
30 INT. ANGEL'S APARTMENT - NIGHT
STEADICAM LEADS into the apartment around furniture to show the bed
with bodies moving under the sheets. One head pops out from under the
sheets and we move in closer to frame ANGEL's face (sweaty) with the
rest of his torso concealed under the sheets (sorry ladies).
ANGEL
Whew!
(beat)
Okay, stop for a bit.
Even the undead need recovery time.
Muffled laughter from underneath the sheets.
ANGEL
I can't believe how happy I am.
(beat)
Lucky Willow was able to re-ensoul me without the happiness clause
attached or we'd be in real trouble here.
The sheets writhe in a suitably suggestive fashion and as the action
gets more NC-17 we move CLOSE IN on Angel's face (also writhing
suggestively).
ANGEL
Ohhh! I said to STOP that!
(beat)
That's REALLY not playing fair.
More muffled laughter from beneath the sheets.
ANGEL
We have a long time ahead of us now.
(beat)
Plenty of time for this.
You know . . .
Muffled sound of inquiry from out of frame.
ANGEL
When we first . . .
(beat)
. . . I mean, the first time that . . .
(beat)
you know . . . you're the same age as your sister when . . .
DAWN
(head popping up into frame, enraged look on face)
I KNEW you'd bring her into this . . .
(beat)
Get out! Get OUT! GET OUT!!!!
BLACKOUT
5. ----------------
33: OMITTED
Cut to:
34 EXT. ANGEL'S OFFICE - NIGHT
The DOOR closes and CORDELIA turns away from it, a look of sadness
still on her face. As we move CLOSE IN on her face, the look changes
to satisfaction and the trace of a smile. Hold on that smile as we
MORPH into:
LILAH
Well
(beat)
THAT went well.
BLACKOUT
END OF SHOW
----------------
And that's the end of these little amusements. I would have dug up a
few more for you to mull over, but Time is pressing on me at the
moment.
I hope you find them amusing.
So a Happy New Year to all of you, and as you count down the minutes
and hours until the next new episode appears to dazzle and delight
you, remember that not everything you hear is necessarily true . . .
. . . and not everything you see is necessarily what you think it is.
WilliamthePoet
. . . reminding you that everything depends on how you look at it, and
on how much you really, really want it.

Christian Kane Takes Direction from 'Angel'
(Monday, January 05 10:22 AM)
By Kate O'Hare
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - At the end of the last original episode of 2003 for The WB's "Angel," a Nov. 19 installment called "Destiny," longtime fans were treated to a final scene that reintroduced one of the series' most popular recurring characters.
Throughout the run of the show, Angel (David Boreanaz), the vampire with a soul, has been at odds with the evil law firm of Wolfram & Hart, foiling their plans while trying to help the helpless in Los Angeles. Last season, W&H appeared to fold, handing over its L.A. office to Angel and his team.
One of Angel's early foes at W&H was Lindsey McDonald (Christian Kane), an ambitious lawyer with a lot to prove. He also had a teeny bit of a conscience and occasionally took Angel's side. Lindsey eventually left town in a battered pickup truck two seasons ago and was not seen again -- until "Destiny," when a very tattooed Lindsey appeared to be in cahoots with Eve (Sarah Thompson), Angel's mysterious liaison to W&H's unseen Senior Partners.
"It's good to have Christian back," Boreanaz says. "He's my bud. It's all good. He's a great guy. I have fun with him, the tiny Texan. I was the one who recommended it. I told Joss [series executive producer Joss Whedon] to bring him back. I told Christian I wanted him back. I initiated it at the beginning of this season, and it came to fruition."
After his brief scene in "Destiny," Kane's first full episode is "Soul Purpose," currently scheduled for Jan. 21. In that, Lindsey makes contact with Spike (James Marsters), the other vampire with a soul, now working with Angel. It also marks Boreanaz's debut as a director.
"It's not funky at all," Kane says of being back. "The character's very familiar to me. I don't have a problem with it. It was a little weird when I walked back the first episode, and Boreanaz directed. This guy, when he was single, we were out drinking beer until the sun comes up.
"All of a sudden, I'm walking in, taking direction from him, which was probably one of the best times I've ever had. He had an idea for what he wanted, and it was great. He really trusts me, I think he trusts James, so he let us run."
Kane did, though, have some requirements for his return. "I was in New York doing 'Taxi' with Queen Latifah, and Joss called and said, 'Hey, Whaddyah think about coming back on "Angel"?' Right off the bat, I said, 'Absolutely. I always would have.'
"But I told them, I didn't want to get beat up by chicks anymore. I still would have done it, even if he said, 'Every girl on the show's going to beat you up,' I would have said, 'No problem,' because I still want to work with him, and I still want to work with Boreanaz.
"I got beat up by everybody -- Darla, Drusilla. I was sick of it. But it's a new Lindsey now. In the past, I wasn't comfortable sometimes playing it, because everybody else got to be a superhero, and I was just a suit. But this is now probably one of the most fun roles I've played."
As for the tattoos, Kane says, "I can't give anything up, man. I went online the other day, and people are already onto them. I can't tell you what they are or anything, but they have a big part, obviously, or they wouldn't be on."
The episode also gave Kane -- who has his own Southern rock band, Kane -- the opportunity to do a little jamming with Marsters, who plays in a band called Ghost of the Robot.
"As soon as we're off the set," Kane says, "and we've got a little time, he comes over, or I'll go over to where he's at, we'll jump in somebody's trailer, and me and him will just trade songs back and forth on the guitar.
"He's got this little bitty amp that I've been trying to get him to get me one. We just sit there and trade songs. We should do a show together."
There just might be a record deal in Kane's future, but it might entail a move to Nashville.
"That's where the deal is," Kane says. "That's where some of the writers are that they want us to write with. Hopefully we don't have to move. If they say, 'Here's a record deal, let's make a record,' then I'll definitely take however much time off that's needed, if it's six months to a year."
Even if he does have to spend some time in Music City, Kane says it won't change the band's sound. "Just because they move me to Nashville doesn't mean that I'll play country."

Angel's James Marsters Rocks On
by Daniel R. Coleridge
After Buffy the Vampire Slayer bit the dust, creator Joss Whedon hired James Marsters to join Buffy's spin-off, Angel. How does he like playing Spike, the semi-reformed British bloodsucker, on a whole other series?
"I'm really pleased they have a TV show to put me on, baby!" Marsters tells TV Guide Online. "I like acting. I'm so happy I don't have to go look for projects like all my friends from Buffy do. I'm sure they'll find them, but I've got my plate full right here and I love it."
When he's not on Angel's set, the actor performs with his band, Ghost of the Robot. His appearance on stage leather jacket and slicked-back platinum hair isn't much different from Spike's look. Does his easy recognition as a TV star help Marsters lure rock and roll aficionados to concerts?
"We were afraid of a double-edged sword, which is that people will come listen to you, but no one will take you seriously if you're a celebrity band," he says with a smirk. "But we've toured all over the U.S. and Europe, and everywhere we go, people say, 'Right on, dudes! Your music actually is good!'"
Life as an almost rock star isn't all a joyride. It takes work. "I'm the lead singer," Marsters says. "I write about 40 percent of the material. In the beginning, I played rhythm guitar, too, but to play and front a band is hard. Because the frontman has to connect with an audience. You have to give them permission to release and exalt, even though they're standing in the middle of a crowd of sweaty strangers.
"I also have new respect for bands who sound good live on tour," he says with a grin. "I didn't realize that, singing for rock, you have to sing loud. My singing has improved enormously because it's a physical effort. I've got to stand a certain way, spread my ribs and really let it out!"
Ghost of the Robot are currently at work on their second album. More info is available on the band's Web site.
